Algeria Preparing for Expo Dubai 2023 (partially translated below via computer)

“Algeria is actively preparing for its participation in Doha Horticulture Expo 2023, a leading international event that will be held from October 2, 2023 to March 28, 2024 under the evocative theme "A green desert ... A better environment". This exhibition embodies the principles of Qatar's national vision of 2030, and promotes environmental management and sustainable development. "This exhibition has a special significance for Algeria, because it will be the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East, a region marked by an arid and desert climate. The slogan of the exhibition, "A green desert... A better environment", illustrates the desire to highlight innovative solutions for agriculture in difficult environments, while emphasizing the preservation of the environment and sustainability," declares the ministry.

The Doha Expo 2023 horticulture program will address key themes such as modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental quality and sustainable development. Algeria plans to present its unique experience in the field of agriculture in desert environments, highlighting its varieties of drought-resistant plants and trees as well as agricultural practices and innovative technologies that have made it possible to exploit these arid lands efficiently and sustainably. Organized in collaboration with the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) and the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), Expo 2023 Doha will attract international visitors, organizers from 80 countries, representatives of the private sector, NGOs and the general public.”
